Deutsche Edelstahlwerke increases prices for stainless, acid and heat-resistant steels
Effective as per 01 July 2009, the Deutsche Edelstahlwerke GmbH will be increasing its prices for stainless, acid and heat-resistant steel long products by €100 per tonne.
A second raise of €100 per tonne will go into effect on 1 September.
The price increases are the reaction of the company, which operates under the umbrella of the SCHMOLZ + BICKENBACH Group, to the price decline caused by the worldwide economic crisis. Production of stainless steel long products at a break-even level is not possible under these conditions.
